Logixal
Building Digital Marketing Foundations in IT
The Challenge
Starting from Scratch
When I joined Logixal, the company had very little marketing in place. As a relatively new IT business, it needed to build its online presence, redevelop its website, and create content that would support sales and generate leads. I came in as the sole marketer — tasked with everything from website design and email campaigns to blog writing and SEO.
The Strategy
Content, Campaigns, and Sales Support
I redeveloped the website multiple times to align with the CEO’s vision and experimented with content-led marketing to support the telesales team. My goal was to give them tools and narratives they could use in conversations with prospective clients — from industry-specific messaging to materials that made it easier to secure meetings.
With limited budget and little appetite for paid advertising, I focused on organic channels. I wrote blogs on emerging technologies, compliance, and IT solutions — including early explorations into blockchain and GDPR. While results were modest, it gave me a chance to practice campaign planning, automation, and SEO techniques, while learning how to adapt in a fast-changing, resource-constrained environment.
The Results
A Spark Toward Blockchain
Within six months, the Surrey Cricketers went from weekly losses to consistent profitability. The Sunday roast campaign became a signature draw, outperforming nearby rivals who copied the idea. Events and promotions gave the pub a new reputation as one of the busiest venues in the village.
I believe that my role was more than just management; it was the start of my career in marketing strategy. I discovered how the right offer, delivered to the right audience, could change the trajectory of the business. At the same time, I began studying for my CIM Level 4 Diploma in Marketing, which became the foundation for my future career and supported my move into Lollaksi.
